Kobe Bryant is arguably the BEST Player of his era.. with no one matching his greatness... His Creativity to make his own shots without the help of his team-mates are arguably the best in the National Basketball Association (NBA) at this moment... Kobe leads his team in Assist Per Game (APG) with 4.7 APG while he leads the NBA in Points Per Game (PPG) the reason i say this is that even he has a broken pinky finger on his "SHOOTING" hand.. Yes... HIS SHOOTING hand.... although previously was only twisted it before the Olympic in Beijing 2008; he broke the same twisted pinky finger this season and after that he went on a rampage scoring at least 30 or more for 6 consecutive games or more.
If I would compare between LeBron James and Kobe Bryant; i would say Kobe is more complete then LeBron James. Reason's for me to say that ? LeBron is selfish then Kobe Bryant. Don't get me wrong, Kobe Bryant is selfish but he knows now when to be selfish and when not to elsewhere if compared to LeBron James... LeBron James leads his team in assist but his assists are more used for statistical purposes and not calculated decision as he wants to get a triple double almost every time. Kobe in the other hand have been in the league since leaving High School for the NBA in 1997 or 98. Kobe is a veteran player with a different view and mindset different then the 2007 Kobe Bryant when he single handedly lead Los Angeles Lakers to the Playoff only to loss dramatically to Sun's even tough Lakers lead them in the series.
LeBron James may have made Cleveland Cavaliers a better team but they still lack the quality player to be consider a threat to Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, Boston Celtic as these 3 teams listed as contender have acquired key players in the team to help them be a better team.
Kobe Bryant is a player that have taken much injuries in his stride while playing in the NBA. Cutting and slashing to the paint for monstrous dunk and finishes. Kobe Bryant recently learn how to post-up better from Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon in the post season. so yeah... Kobe Bryant is still the best player even tough he has the injured pinky finger which requires him to wear a protective bandage on the broken pinky finger.
I won't be suprised if teams resort to hitting the pinky finger to stop Kobe Bryant from scoring. a senario that will likely happen as it easy to see how Kobe Bryant pose up his defender and skipping by them and either scoring or passing the ball.
Another Revelation is that Shannon Brown needs to be in the All-Star Dunk Contest... How do you see a 5-9 guard dunk like the way he is? Not many really... the Double Block against Milwaukee was a no brainer with his athletic capabilities along with his jumping skills... It would be amazing to see how he will do in a real Dunk Competition.
BTW. LeBron James team is not strong enough.. seriously... if they face Los Angeles Lakers with a fit Pau Gasol. Things would be different a lot. but i can't argue.
my other candidate for Most Valuable Player would be Kobe Bryant, Brandon Roy, LeBron James, and Steve Nash. Brandon Roy ? reason? he's a star in a team filled with cripple players.. tough luck but with Brandon Roy.. nothing is impossible... Steve Nash ? why not ? 36 soon in February... and leads NBA in APG.... good enough of a reason ? xD
