A sad ending to the ownership of Newcastle United as Mike Ashley have put the club on sale after just buying over from Sir John Hall in May last year, just 16 months after buying over the club.
Mike Ashley is a nice guy but he bought over a team that have spend a lot on the transfer market and are finding it hard to repay the loans and grants hence they have over spent. Mike Ashley spent his own cash to lower the debt owned. Kevin Keegan didn't know the full extent of the story behind the scene ( and he left because he was unhappy ) , look at Chelsea; Chelsea would be able to buy Robinho but they stick to the price they thought was reasonable as Chelsea *which is still in debt and want to be profitable in 2010* but Real Madrid didn't think so hence Robinho joined Manchester City which was just taken over by the Abu Dhabi Investment Group for a British Transfer Market Fee at 32.45 million.
Kevin Keegan might be a good player when he is in his heyday , a good player do not make a good manager; look at Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger, Sir Alex Ferguson was a striker with Rangers and Celtic but his career was average just like the same with Arsene Wenger as he was a defender in his heydays....
Newcastle United Football Club isn't a great team buy they certainly have the best supporters in the whole United Kingdom. i can seriously vouch on that, which fans have the power to direct the changes that have happen in the whole club ?? this is what i call fan powered; just like Real Madrid *the major difference is that Real Madrid is more established then Newcastle United.
Its sad but i think Mike Ashley is a good owner, the previous owners didn't bother about the state of the bank account, just bought players after players without looking at the state of the bank account. Dennis Wise and the rest of the gang were scouting for talents around Europe that are Good and are available at half of what a fluctuated price of a average player in the Transfer Market today.
the club is a great club but Newcastle United Football Club ave been plagued with bad management for a couple of years and this started with Freddy Shepard, his ill management of the team have made Newcastle a struggling team.. He made the mistake by sacking Sir Bobby Robson.
I might add that that was the turning point in Newcastle United Football Club history.
