Liverpool Sputtering Title Aspiration

Watching Liverpool winning is definitely hard this season is like knowing the sinking feeling that Liverpool fans have endured throughout the years that Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City have dominated the Premier League in recent years.  (Not a good feeling)

I would like to say that even though they (Liverpool Football Club) have the most potent attacks in the Top Four, conceding 49 goals (so far) and Arsenal Football Club have a better Against Record (so far) within the Top Four Team. Not a good sign for a Title Winning Team to have.

I always criticise Liverpool just because a strong defence wins the title and bad defence really don’t win any titles for any team just looking from the past few seasons of the Barclays Premier League.

Liverpool’s weakness at the back really was the turning point as no addition of any players in the January Transfer Window really hurt Liverpool title aspirations; one of their targets was FC Basel’s Mohd Salah who ultimately chooses Chelsea over Liverpool.

Funny that Sketel and Sakho is in the picture!
The attack which was led by the ever controversial but talented Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge was definitely a revelation this season but they have been over-worked but since there wasn't any European Distraction for Liverpool aside from the Cups that Liverpool are obliged to join.  The strikers have been saving the team title aspiration from being shattered.

The slip that was the first of many set backs for Liverpool.

The slip by the all the all-consuming and inspiring captain Steven Gerrard against Chelsea Football Club was definitely funny for me but I do feel sorry for him as his mistake paved the way for the loss (NAH... NOT REALLY... BUT WHO WOULDN'T RIGHT?) but not far behind is that Liverpool conceded 2 quick goals  against a side who is set up brilliantly by Tony Pulis and Brendan Rodgers who made some tactical mistake in his substitution and game plan in substituting Sterling who was dominating the game and replacing him with Coutinho but I do think that his mind set isn't up to par to sacrifice an attacker for a defender in Agger who was in the bench should he be needed.

And for Liverpool Legend in his own right, Jamie Carragher have lambasted that their defence after the game  as not to be Champion's Material yet which I agree 100%. "Liverpool Achilles Heal was always their defence and Sakho and Skrtel have played together in defence for 17 games and have only one clean sheet when they play together and Brendan Rodgers dislike Daniel Agger for some odd reasons" Which I paraphrase what the legendary Jamie Carragher who made 508 starts for Liverpool in the Premier League alone.

Peace Out!
