Day 1 of Mission Trip 2011

This year I took the opportunity to go on a mission trip to the Philippines where Antioch Network Community (ANC) and also from Petaling Jaya Gospel Hall (PJGH) were a part of a 7 people team from 2 churches which took arms to return to the Philippines for the many countless for most of the team leader Wong Mun Wai who is on his third Mission Trip while Elder William is his forth or fifth trip down from the Manila and its surrounding environment. Lead Pastor Chris Leong is no stranger to the Philippines as this his is countless journey to the Philippines while Pastor Gan Yoke Kheng is no longer a stranger to this island after leading countless mission trip to the Philippines.

The team from ANC took Cebu Pacific to fly to Manila, Philippines which depart Malaysian soil @1:20am while the other flew to Clarke International Airport via Air Asia which flew @6:45 am and reached Clarke International Airport @10:30 am. Cebu Pacific plane arrive 5 minutes ahead of schedule and a friend of Pastor Yoke Kheng fetched us to SM Megamall (SM is a chain of large mega-mall which is owned by a Chinese Filipino) where we waited to board a bus to Clarke International Airport to welcome the team from PJGH.

As we were waiting for the bus, Yoke Kheng and I decided to walk about to get some breakfast and also some water. We walked for a distance to McDonald and I bought coffee and also some water bottles for the rest. As Yoke Kheng and I was walking back, we bought Pork Siu Mai and also some Pao's for the rest to consume as breakfast.

As the bus arrived, the whole team saw a guy selling some stuff that looks like Tao Foo Fah, I bought 1 for myself and also another one for Uncle Chris. Then we embark on a 2 hours journey where the team slept almost through all the 2 hours to Clarke International Airport.


We waited for the arrival of the others in Clarke International Airport and Brother Joel came to pick us up to Jireh Children's Home. On the way, we stopped by @Subic Bay and ate lunch @Chow King.

After finishing lunch, the team decided to shop and bought some stuff to be brought for the whole journey and also to get some items which are cheaper in the Philippines. After reaching Jireh Children's Home, The team unpacked into the guest dorms which we would be staying in the wole duration of the trip and then it was soon dinner time where the meal was prepared by Brother Joel wife Rachel, the dinner was splendid. After dinner, the team went to the dorm room to have a de-brief and also to prepare for tomorrow's agenda. After that, the team went on to sleep.
