Rafa Benitez is one of the top managers in Spain before he joined Liverpool, hence i respect him for that as he make a team filled with mediocre player look good as he have little budget... after joining Liverpool with the reputation as one of the biggest team in English Football but weren't able to win the English Premier League since 1990 which is sad as Liverpool were rampant when the times of Grame Souness, Kenny Daglish, Ian Rush, Kevin Keegan & many more were in the Liverpool line-up (even though i am a Manchester United supporter; i got to say that the team look pretty hard to beat) but then again Liverpool have a tendency to not sack or change the manager if they didn't succeed in winning the elusive English Premier League title or the Premier League title.
how would they succeed if they don't stick to a certain manager if the manager have a bad patch of form?.. look at Manchester United manager Sir Alex Chapman Ferguson. Sir Alex Chapman Ferguson weren't that successful at his first helm at the club.. Sir Alex Chapman Ferguson almost make Manchester United relegated but even though the team were in a bad patch of form the Board of Directors keep faith in Sir Alex Chapman Ferguson even thought the United faithful fans were calling for his head to come down (in other word they want Sir Alex to be sacked) .... but after the incident and some brilliant signing by Alex Ferguson (then he weren't being knighted yet) made were inspirational when he bought the inspirational Eric Cantona from Leeds United made Manchester UNited a footballing power house in English football....
Even Gerard Houllier that brought Uefa Cup, Uefa Supercup, League Cup & FA Cup and finishing second in 2001 were sacked after the disappointment shown by the fans towards Gerard Houllier made the BoD (Board of Directors) to part way with Gerard Houllier. I'm disgusted with the fans of Liverpool supporters that aren't patient for the league success as 4 years in the helm will not make a difference as Sir Alex Chapman Ferguson took a couple of years before he managed to steer Manchester United to English Premier League success !!! Manchester United supporters have to endure 6 years before they could breath the success after the Old Division Championship were relabeled as the English Premier League, in which Manchester United have almost dominated the English Premier League or Premier League ever since the start of The English Premier League in the year 1990-1991 season.
Rafa Benitez have part to play in Liverpool poor form in the League with his tactic of squad rotation policy that have dealt their championship credential too many times already in the past. His persistence of squad rotation in idea to keep his players fit isn't the best of idea as they have fallen shorts in big matches in the season. Rafa Benitez seems to like European style football like the Uefa Cup (where ha won 2 Uefa Cup with Valencia and won 1 Champions League with Liverpool and also finish as runner-up in the previous edition of Champions League).
Rafa Benitez couldn't put the blame to the power struggle as a deterrence to get silverware as Manchester United's Sir Alex Chapman Ferguson were getting results even though Manchester United were involve in a high profile buyout by Malcom Glazer who owns the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise in the United States of America. Hence Rafa Benitez should look no further inspiration by looking at their fierce rivals Manchester United.
Rafa Benitez seems to hate English born players, llok when he came to the club; he sold off Michale Owen to Real Madrid for 11 million pounds and payed Real Madrid 5 million to get Fernando Morientes which happens to be a FLOP !!! then Rafa Benitez have to sell Fernando Morientes to Valencia for 3 million pounds.. what a waste... when Tom Hink & George Gillett took over the club, Rafa benitez didn't shore up the defense but bought all offensive players such as Ryan Babel, Andriv Voronin, Fernando Torres which later came to haunt them as Daniel Agger broke his leg in a match and Sami Hyppia have been playing more often then he used to as Liverpool have not got any top class players due to the size of their stadium which isn't as big and spacious like the modern stadiums like Old Trafford, Emirates Stadium, Stanford Bridge, St James Park which are able to gather more revenue then Liverpool.
